The Turin Giants Bring In Former Azzurri Boss Spalletti

The Old Lady have chosen previous Italian national team head coach Luciano Spalletti to lead the team for the remainder of the campaign.

The 66-year-old steps in for Igor Tudor, who was let go after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio last weekend.

Tudor arrived at the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but left after seven months after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

Yet, the Italian FA let Spalletti go in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese moving them to seventh position in the league - six points adrift of Napoli at the top after nine rounds.

In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
